Family History



I went to the family history library today. This is a Death Notice for Coert Van Straaten. He had 16 children and 2 wives. I added 20 names to my family history from this document.


This is a page out of the chrch register from Cahltrait in France where my ansectors came from. On the bottom of the page is the birth entry for one of my ancestors Pierre Blignaut. He was born in 1674. This is all in French. Don McArthure helped me decipher this. He is very knowlagale about family history

Over the past weeks as I have posted things on My blog I have come to know more about myself and who I am. I am exploring aspects of myself that I have not for a very long time. Even if no one looks at this blog this is a good enough reason for me to do this.

It is also a little like keeping a journal, but diffent because you are just a little more careful what you record because others might see what you have written.
