Today I was late again for church, but unlike every other Sunday I was the only one and there was lots of space in the chapel. There where lots of messages for me today.
In Sacrament meeting the new Elders qorum president spoke. He told about when he was a fireman and how everyone knew exactly waht they should do in an emergency. He compared that to us in the ward that we should do what we are responsible for without being told waht needs to be done. He also read the parable of the talents and the for the first time it occured to me that talent where money and this made me think of interest, money and the world economy. It occured to me that the problems in the world economy are due to people not being able to increase the money and resources they have. The whole world works on interest. In the parable the master comes back and expects his investment to have produced. He rewards those who have created and increase and punishes the man who did not increase the investment. It also occured to me that these men created an increase proportional to what they where given.
Heavenly father only expects us to increase that which we have given not what we have not.
Andrian spoke about bees and I thought of Gordon B Hincklys be's and I couldn't remeber what they where. I need to look them up.
