We had family home evening tonight. It is often difficult because the girls aren't really interested. We also had family home evening last Monday, but we did it in the form of a drive. We open with prayer in the car. I had a primary CD in the car and played Listen, Listen. I then talked about the holy ghost guiding us and protecting us. We also talked about tempting situations, sex and I share the story of Joseph and Potifers wife.
We visited Sister Lila. We took her some tomatoes from our vegetables garden. As we where trying to find her home Joanne stood on some snails by accident with bare feet. Joanne doesn't like shoes and often has bare feet. She said it was disgusting.
We found her and spent a pleasant half an hour talking with her. I told her of our discussion about the Holy Ghost and asked her to share with us some of the times she has felt the holy Ghost has guided her.
She share with us how when she was about 6 years old she heard someone call her name. She looked round but did not see anyone. She ran back to her mother and told her what had happened. Her mother told her the story of Samuel in the bible. Sister Lila said she was sure the voice was stopping her from doing something that would hurt her.
