You can't help but think about your marriage when you go to weddings. The past few months have been filled with weddings. There is one more to go. Wendy's.
Des listened to the sermon at Chantels wedding which is unusual. He was quite disappointed that I could not remember much of it. He did though. The pastor compared marriage to building a house. Des enjoyed this metaphor. He pointed out to me today that the pastor had forgotten the door of the house. Des was not sure what the door could represent. He remembered that the windows where communication. The daga was love and the roof was shelter. The foundation I think was faith.
Today at church marriage was discussed. I volunteered to teach a Sunday school class or teenagers. There was one girl in the glass. The lesson was from the book of Mormon. 3 nephi 22-27. These are chapter quoting Isaiah. Marriage imagery is used in these chapters. When I thought and taught about this metaphor the point about being faithful to God just like a man and women should be faithful to each other. It also made me think how God feels if we are unfaithful to our covenant to him he feels like the husband or wife who has been cheated on.
Metaphors make you think deeper about something then you would if it was state plainly, they also help you to remember principles. This is probably why our dreams are filled with Symbols and metaphor. We learn more from them then if something is plainly stated.
My talents and gifts. I am given gifts from my Heavenly Father each day. I want to share them here

My Blog
Over the past weeks as I have posted things on My blog I have come to know more about myself and who I am. I am exploring aspects of myself that I have not for a very long time. Even if no one looks at this blog this is a good enough reason for me to do this.
It is also a little like keeping a journal, but diffent because you are just a little more careful what you record because others might see what you have written.
Most of all I have enjoyed the time spent and rediscovered things about myself I have forgoten.
This has also made me aware of things I am sensitive about and did not know i was senstive about, like my testimony, the things I believe and feelings.
